What Eve learned about Sin!!!
* The story of this chapter is perhaps as sad a story as any we have in all the Bible. In the foregoing chapters we have had the pleasant view of the holiness and happiness of our first parents, the grace and favor of God, and the peace and beauty of the whole creation, all good, very good; but here the scene is altered. We have here an account of the sin and misery of our first parents, the wrath and curse of God against them, the peace of the creation disturbed, and its beauty stained and sullied. Eve learned some things about sin that day. Lets see what Eve learned about sin.
1.
Deception; vs. 1-5A. about what God said vs. 1 Yea, hath God said
2.
Desires; vs. 6A. sin paints itself a pretty picture, she saw it was good, pleasant, and would make her wise
3.
Dressing; vs. 7A. here there was shame they knew that they were naked
B. they tried to cover it up made themselves aprons
4. Desertion; vs. 8-10
A. they hide themselves from the presence of God
B. she learned sin separates
5. Delusion; vs. 11-13
A. whose fault is it, the man said the woman, the woman said the serpent
B. the worse thing about sin is no one ever wants to give an account, it’s always someone else’s fault.
Conclusion: She learned that the only remedy for sin was a blood sacrifice vs. 21
