The Benefits of Salvation
Psalms 103: 1-6

* bless= to kneel, act of adoration, praise, salute, thank. Here David was in true worship. He was blessing the Lord with his soul and his inner man (all that is within me). He was getting excited because he was remembering the benefits from the Lord. Benefit means reward or treatment.

1. Forgiveth; vs. 3 this is the very first benefit that puts all the others
in line. It means to spare or pardon.

2. Health; vs. 3 to mend by stitching, to cure, repair, make whole. Our sin
was a disease, but God made us whole.

3. Redeemeth; vs. 4 to be next of kin, to buy back relatives property. God
made us sons and daughters.

4. Crowneth; vs. 4 to encircle, to compass. We are surrounded by his love,
kindness and tender mercies.

5. Satisfieth; vs. 5 have enough, to fill, be full, have plenty of, putting
off the old and putting on the new.

6. Executeth; vs. 6 to do or make, one day all those who have done us wrong,
those that are not saved will get what is coming.

Conclusion: The Lord has benefits for us. It should stir us up when we thank
about the benefits.
