I Owe You!
Ruth 4:7-10

A man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbor: he who relinquished his right to another, plucked off his own shoe, and gave it to him. This was symbolical, and a significant and convenient ceremony; as if he said, Take this shoe wherewith I used to go and tread upon my land, and in that shoe do thou enter upon it, and take possession of it. In a since this was an I Owe You. We owe some people some things, let us look to see who we owe.

1. Mothers;

A. they keep things together
B. they are the heart of the home

2. Fathers;

A. they provide for the family
B. they protect the family

3. Children;

A. they bring joy
B. they remind us of how we were

4. Preachers;

A. they sound out the warning
B. they sound out the truth

5. Church;

A. the precious times
B. the precious people

6. Holy Spirit;

A. for the conviction
B. for the conversion

7. Jesus;

A. for saving us
B. for shepherding us

Conclusion: What is it we owe to these? It is to live the life in which they had a hand in molding. Which brings me to a question, of the first 5 points, which one are we and what are we doing to help mold others? For we know the last two will do their parts to make a change in some one’s life.
